Fanbase is a desktop application where music fans can receive the latest content from their favorite musicians in one single download. The application features an audio player, chat room and a continuous feed of all the official and unofficial news, photos and videos from some of today's most popular artists.

From which sites does Fanbase pull content?
Fanbase pulls content from the artist's official site, label site, MySpace page, MTV, Twitter, Buzznet, Yahoo! News, Google News, Flickr, Youtube, and Brightcove, as well as fan sites and blogs.

How is this different than the artist's website?
Artists' websites are often centered around official content and social networking. Fanbase is all about content of every kind, allowing users to get all the information about their favorite artist's in one location as opposed to traveling to dozens of sites to do so.

What artists are available in Fanbase?
A complete list of all current artists can be found at the top of this page under "Artists". We will be releasing about a dozen additional artists over the next few months so check back frequently to see if your favorites have been added. You can also check the "Manage Artist" drop down in the upper right hand corner of the app to see all artists that have been added to the app.

What is Adobe AIR and why is it being installed on my computer?
Adobe AIR is a program that allows Fanbase to run on your computer. When installing Fanbase Adobe AIR will be installed on your machine before Fanbase. For more information on AIR visit

How do I make Fanbase not launch on startup?
By default Fanbase launches every time you startup your computer. With Fanbase open, you can go to the File menu and select Preferences, or click on the gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the application. Uncheck "Launch application of system start-up" and click close.
